The PIRT Secretariat is hosted by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) in Apia, Samoa.
What the Secretariat does
- Coordinate members. The Secretariat keeps member organisations connected across meetings, working groups and public enquiries.
- Support working groups. It helps chairs and secretaries maintain group information, membership requests, publications and activity updates.
- Maintain public information. The Secretariat supports the website, member directory, documents library, news, events and contact channels.
- Connect the conference cycle. It links Roundtable activity with the Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas.
- Route enquiries. It directs membership, partnership, media and working-group questions to the right people.
