Project overview

Funded by the Kiwa Initiative. The project aims to strengthen the adaptive capacity and economic resilience of Pacific Islanders specifically to improve shoreline stability, coastal protection and sustainable livelihoods through Nature-based Solutions and aims to: 1) improve climate risk reduction and coastal protection through restoration and management in Fiji, Samoa and Timor-Leste; 2) Improve livelihoods and incentives for IPLCs that support management and restoration of coastal ecosystems, reduce drivers of degradation and address gender inequities; 3) enhance scientific collaboration, shared learning and knowledge exchange on NbS across the Pacific Island region.
